Dr. Aysel Kurumsal

Aysel is a women’s rights advocate and Research Coordinator at Suna’nın Kızlarä (“Suna’s Daughters”), where she advances inclusive systems that expand adolescent girls’ access to quality education. Her work centers the intersection of gender equality and educational equity to drive evidence-based change.

At Suna’nın Kızlarä, Aysel helps build an inclusive ecosystem to support girls’ educational empowerment, focusing her research and programming on how gender equality and educational equity reinforce one another. She brings evidence-based approaches to improving outcomes for adolescent girls, ensuring interventions are informed by both data and lived realities.

Aysel contributes her expertise to global advocacy efforts that place girls at the center of development strategy. Guided by the belief that investing in girls is one of the most transformative actions societies can take, Aysel continues to champion initiatives that drive equity, opportunity and empowerment for adolescent girls.
